Call for Papers - Special Issue on Spatiotemporal Big Data Driven Intelligent Computing and Transdisciplinary Applications

With the development of Internet of Things, smart mobile devices, and communication technologies, it is easy to obtain large amount of spatiotemporal data, which has unique characteristics in the field of big data science, including relevant or orthogonal attributes in space and time. In the data mode, it has the multi-modal characteristics of text, image, voice, and so on, which makes the processing of spatiotemporal big data become an urgent problem to be solved.

Nowadays, spatiotemporal big data involves the knowledge of agriculture, medicine, environment, machinery, and other multidisciplinary fields. The complexity of problems and challenges faced by researchers in their respective fields have been increasing significantly. Advanced transdisciplinary design, analysis, and implementation have received great attention from theory and practice. Transdisciplinary approach crosses the boundary of a single-discipline and forms a whole method with multi-disciplinary. Transdisciplinary technology requires not only the interaction between science and technology, but also the interaction and processing of a large amount of spatiotemporal big data.

This special issue focuses on developing the next generation of spatiotemporal big data management system through transdisciplinary design, analysis, and implementation, striving to strengthen the connection among spatiotemporal big data from various disciplines, and improving the ability to manage, mine, and analyze spatiotemporal big data. The original research and review articles are both welcomed.
